Colonel Thigpen giving Motor Pool Sgt. Hazelgrove an award in 1961 at Fort Leonard Wood . We did find the Colonel in Dec. of 2005 and he is still alive. His wife Mrs. Carolyn Thigpen said her husband was IN LAST STAGES OF ALZHEIMERS.
